Big cheers to Jason from Triforce Aoyama for trekking up to Ikebukuro today in the crappy weather to train with us at the morning class. Extra big props for participating in the sparring part of the class with a bum wing!
What is it with injuries and jiujitsu? When I played cricket and soccer at university, I was quite happy sitting out for weeks on end whilst injuries healed – truth be told, I’d fake it a little longer in order to avoid the practice sessions! With jiujitsu though it seems that you have to be on death’s door before training becomes too much – theres nothing worse than having to sit out a class due to injury. As for being unable to participate, in turn just watching class; there’s nothing worse!
